be memorable
Websites have become the shopfront for business, and the digital representation of your company’s offering.
Regardless of whether you still operate in brick and mortar, your online presence is incredibly important.
The 2018 Telstra Small Business Intelligence report stated that 62% of customers will stop considering a business if they can’t find anything about them online.
That’s a huge amount of business clicking on over to your competitor.
Every Seedling Digital site is completely custom built from scratch, to suit each business, to showcase each proof point, to connect and land with your target market.
We don’t use templates or pre designed themes, ever.
We approach each project collaboratively to ensure your vision is a key part of the delivered website.
From start to finish, our process is designed to dig into the heart of your offering and develop a website that is not only beautiful, but also functional.
Website packages include two rounds of refinements and revisions (although this isn’t always required).
Sites are built on a holding platform, so clients can view the site as they will be seen live, on any device.
Clients are able to leave feedback and changes directly on the live site to minimise miscommunication, track changes and ensure all feedback is implemented in a timely manner.
All website packages include the design of a holding page while we develop your full site.
While the full development of a site can take up to 8 weeks for more complex e-commerce sites, our aim is to always get you online as soon as we can.
The benefit in this is clear to your business.
You can start implementing pre launch marketing, gather email sign ups, have a place for clients to contact you or even book an appointment if you’re a service-based business.
This also allows search engines to start indexing your site sooner, which means being found sooner, and consequently converting sooner.
I work to SEO best practice, integrate UX principles and aim to build a site that helps streamline your processes and reduce barriers to conversion.
Each site comes with standard inclusions:
– 404 page
– Basic integrations (Google Analytics, EDM, Facebook Pixel)
– Google and Bing search console submission
– Website owners manual and training videos
– Back up set up to protect your investment
– One years access to agency level plugins for SEO, speed and design.
This is so important to get right, for both of us!
If we’re a good fit, we’ll get the best result from your project.
To start with, I recommend taking a thorough browse through my portfolio of work and ensure you like my style and aesthetic.
You might also like to follow me on Instagram to connect, chat, and see a bit more of a behind the scenes glimpse into my process.
If you’re still not sure, I offer a free 15 minute consultation to answer any outstanding questions you might have about my style, work, process or delivery.
The clients I choose to work with:
– Understand that the design process is important and takes time.
– Are willing to open their horizons, take feedback and potentially have any preconceived ideas challenged.
– Trust my experience as a designer.
– Respect my time and pricing structure.
– Understand that this process is collaborative, a two way street and requires timely input from you.
Absolutely, in fact this is I believe one of the main ways my offering delivers from other providers.
I believe a website is never complete. In fact, I make changes to mine at least once a week!
Over time, outsourcing these changes can cost a business thousands of dollars.
I provide my clients with a website owners manual upon handover which includes videos demonstrating the ways to keep your site up to date, and make changes or additions as required.
The build cost is only one part of owning a website, however I build on WordPress, which is a free open source software to minimise other costs.
Other providers may charge up to $299 per month, plus payment processing fees on top of what a payment gateway like Stripe or Pay Pal charge, these costs can quickly add up.
With WordPress, the only ongoing costs for a typical website are hosting and domain licencing.
Hosting costs can range from $3 – $50 per month depending on the hosting plan and inclusions. For example some hosts include SSL certificates, daily scheduled backups to keep your investment secure, or you might opt for your website to be hosted on a private server, which is beneficial for speed, security and search engine optimisation. These features incur an additional charges, but in my mind are worth the investment, particularly when compared to other providers.
Domain costs are generally around the $20 per year mark.
I also recommend clients consider adding on a branded email, which is generally between $5 – $8 per month.
We offer hosting plans which come with some of the additions listed above (backups, SSL certificate, private server) with the additional benefit of recieving access to our agency level plugins on an ongoing basis.
I build exclusively on WordPress.
WordPress is my platform of choice for a number of reasons, but in short, it’s powerful, flexible, beautiful and allows scope for growth with your business.
Find out more about why I use, love and recommend WordPress.
Short answer, no.
Long answer, this just isn’t what I do. It’s not only unethical, it’s just not good business practice.
Each website I build is designed custom to suit your business and target market. This ensures that your business can stand out in a crowded marketplace and your branding is unique.
As part of the consultation process you have an opportunity to share examples of websites that you like. Throughout the design process I keep the feeling of these sites, rather than the design, in mind.
Absolutely! Each package I offer is designed to be an extension of the smaller package, so you are free to upgrade and pay the difference at any stage as your business grows. Even the lowest price website engagement includes best practice set up of the back end.
For website packages, I accept payments via bank transfer in installments of:
– 50% deposit to secure your project in the studio.
– 25% payment prior to stage two of build.
– 25% payment prior to website launch.
In some cases I can break this down into 4 payments, over 8 weeks, or accept credit card payments, however the final payment must be made prior to website go live.
Please feel free to get in touch to work out a payment arrangement that suits you.
This depends on the package and inclusions you select, and on how quickly you get your pre work completed.
As a guideline I allow four weeks for our Sow Website package, six weeks for the Bud Website package and eight weeks for our Bloom Website package.
Of course! I’m also an expert in other aspects of digital marketing such as; email direct marketing, strategy development and social media.
There are some items, that aren’t my speciality, for example Google Ads. I’ve built a trusted network of partners, so if I can’t help you with a specific need I’ll refer you to someone who can.
Before I can get started, I require a bit of pre work from you.
Once you’ve accepted my contract and made an initial payment, I’ll send over a questionnaire for you to get started. This is important as I tend to book out in advance, so a deposit is required to secure your project in the studio.
Your prework contains questions which have been refined over time, and are designed to draw out in depth information about you, your business and your target market to ensure I get an accurate picture of your needs and can deliver a website that encapsulates your esssence.
You can save your questionnaire and come back to it over time, or submit in one go.
You’re able to attach any files that might be useful for me, and I ask that you create a pinterest board to get a bit of insight into the style of website you like.
I understand it’s a lot to think through!
Sometimes it’s better to jump on a zoom call, and talk it out.
