Grant overview
The Business Basics Grants Program supports businesses to increase core skills and adopt best practice by providing $5000 grants to build a new website, access coaching or training, or engage strategic marketing services.
The grant is a one off, up front payment of $5000 (excluding GST) and does not require the business to ‘match’ the funding to be received.
Seedling Digital has helped many small businesses access the grant through each of the previous rounds by providing a grant-friendly proposal and application support pack. Here are just a few samples of work completed by recipients of previous grant rounds.

Tips for application
Get a quote from an eligible supplier
Definitely the first step! Decide on what your business needs to increase sales, and find a supplier who fits your goals and provides relevant eligible services. Seedling Digital can help with website development and search engine optimisation, but you might also like to speak with a copywriter like Haley Berryman, or a coach like Bay Bradfield.
Ensure the quote provided comes in at 5K excluding GST, includes the businesses ABN number, is from a QLD based business and specifies a timeline less than 4 months for completion of quoted activities.
We’re providing quotes within 48 hours to ensure clients are ready to apply when the time comes!
Set aside some time
The biggest part of this application is ensuring you have all the necessary answers and documents to apply. This can take a bit of commitment, but in saying that, a 5K grant can give your business a huge leg up in this day and time, so it’s worth putting in the effort.
We also provide a more detailed application pack to every customer alongside our grant quotes to make this process as seamless as possible.
Book a date with a JP
You’ll need a signed, verified statutory declaration, and you can’t do this part on your own! Many local community centres, shopping centres or pharmacies have authorised people who can help, and it’s free! Find one near you here.
Set a reminder
Previous rounds have been allocated quickly, so it’s important to mark the date in your calendar to apply.
If you’ve received a proposal from us, we’ll add you to our reminder list and send you an email the day before, and the morning of so you can be sure you get your application in on time.
